FUMC of Ozark is a member of Voices for Alabama's Children. Voices researches the conditions of children in our state, communicates those conditions to those who can work for change, and advocates for public policy and private programs that will improve the lives of children and families. Voices' mission statement is "To insure a decent childhood for every Alabama child".

On Voices' website you will find the Children's Policy/Legislative Agenda. This Agenda calls upon the Alabama Legislature to take the following steps to improve child well-being in our state:

1. Protect Tobacco Settlement Funds for Children First programs
2. Protect funding for children's programs with special emphasis on Medicaid
3. Enact comprehensive child auto passenger restraint legislation
4. Enact Foster Parent's Bill Of Rights
